Mietta, Maxon & Like Bear

July 4 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm AEST

Mietta is a Mornington Peninsula singer-songwriter whose tender folk music weaves place, feeling, and community into acoustic soundscapes that invite you to slow down and truly listen. Earthy, graceful, and unhurried, her voice carries the influence of storying traditions encountered through her work and travels across Australia and beyond. She has shared stages with Pete Murray, Kim Churchill, and Charm of Finches, and her releases ‘Slowly’, ‘Childlike Wondering’, ‘Beyond The Past’ and ‘Eden’ are available on streaming platforms now. Her debut album ‘When The Water Stills’ launches this year.
Maxon is a singer-songwriter and co-founder of independent label Sandhill Records. With powerhouse vocals drawing comparisons to Alanis Morissette and Sara Bareilles – Triple J called them vocals “that’d make London Grammar quiver” – she brings emotional precision and raw energy to every room. Her debut album ‘Talking with Strangers’ dropped this April 8th with Rolling Stone naming it one of the top new albums of the week.
Like Bear is the artist project of songwriter Nay Pattuwage, known for intimate songwriting, rich harmonies, and heartfelt storytelling. A collaborator with artists including Maxon and Sunday Lemonade, Nay is also a winner of the Green Wedge Songwriting Competition and a finalist in the Environmental Music Prize. Her original music has been performed at the Hawaii Songwriting Festival and showcased internationally at the Durango Songwriters Expo in the USA. Supporting Maxon with a special duo performance, Like Bear brings intimate harmonies and songs that feel both deeply personal and connective.
Tonight features solo sets plus a shared set where all three performers sing and tell stories together.
Doors Open 6:00pm
